About Us - Our Mission for Better Bone Health
A Word from the Founder, Owners, and Employees of OsteoStrong Wisconsin
I first discovered OsteoStrong through a book called Life Force by Tony Robbins and what spoke to me the most was the idea of building strength for longevity and to not underestimate what we are capable of. We really can be strong into our 90’s and beyond.
I am almost 50, and as a lifelong athlete and adventure racer, I have felt the shift in my strength and endurance and I wasn’t happy about it. I decided that I was going to try OsteoStrong for myself. When I went to the website I discovered 2 things. First, there wasn’t an OsteoStrong in WI and second, it was a franchise. I was instantly excited because I had been exploring starting my own business, including other franchises. I filled out an application on the spot. The timing for this was fateful.
I spent 25+ years in corporate America, with many of those years being absolutely wonderful, but in my last 7 or so years of corporate leadership I saw a significant decline in corporations taking care of the only real thing that matters: our people. And so it was time for a change.
OsteoStrong has provided me one of the greatest opportunities of my career - the chance to help people make a significant change in their lives to be stronger, pain free, and happier. In our first couple of years, I have seen this come to fruition and I could not be happier. Our members are genuinely wonderful people, all working toward better health, and I am honored to be part of the their lives and the OsteoStrong movement.
A special thanks goes to my lovely wife Danielle. Her support throughout this endeavor has been nothing short of amazing.
-Ben Rolfs, Founder/Owner
As an OsteoStrong owner, I get to bring together everything that matters most to me. With a strong business background and an entrepreneurial mindset, I was drawn to a model that’s both impactful and sustainable. My lifelong passion for health, wellness, and athletics made OsteoStrong a natural fit, especially because it focuses on building strength from the inside out.
Just as important, owning a local OsteoStrong location allows me to stay rooted in my community and close to my family—without constant travel—while helping people of all ages live stronger, more confident lives.
For me, OsteoStrong isn’t just a business; it’s a way to serve, lead, and make a lasting difference in the community I call home.

I was so excited to learn that an Osteostrong center finally opened in Wisconsin! It was the last addition to my wellness toolbox on my journey to improve my bone health without pharma medications. As a member of Osteostrong Lake Country I became extremely interested in the science behind this approach to skeletal strength. When Ben and Mike announced a new location in Cottage Grove, I wanted in and applied for a position to coach others on this bone strengthening journey.
Do I feel stronger? You bet! That’s why I came out of retirement to help others achieve the same success! My career as an educator spanned 40 years as a classroom teacher, reading specialist and national literacy consultant. My husband, Steve, (now a member at Osteostrong) and I are very active - biking, hiking, yoga, strength training and traveling. We have two adult children and our furry best friend - Gunnar.
Thank you to Ben and Mike for this opportunity and for putting up with this ‘senior’ from another generation.

Coach Denise has been part of the OsteoStrong Wisconsin family since June 2025, and from day one she’s brought compassion, precision, and genuine care to every member she serves.
With 26 years in healthcare and an impressive 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force, Denise understands what it truly means to support people - both physically and emotionally. She retired from military service at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, a testament to her leadership, discipline, and dedication to excellence. Those same qualities shine through in her coaching style: detail-oriented, thoughtful, and always focused on helping members feel confident and supported on their wellness journey.
Denise is a proud wife, mom, and grandmother, and her love for family extends to her two adorable Yorkie “babies,” Sadie and Silas, who keep life playful and full of joy. When she’s not coaching, you’ll likely find Denise staying active - traveling, cycling, skiing, working out, or indulging her lifelong passion for aviation.
A lifelong learner and wellness enthusiast, Denise recently added another exciting milestone to her journey by completing her Yoga Teacher Certification - because helping others move better, feel stronger, and live well is simply who she is.
If you’re looking for a coach who combines heart, experience, and leadership with a warm smile and steady encouragement, Coach Denise is exactly who you want in your corner.

Rebecca, a devoted mom to her wonderful daughter, is a proud Wisconsin native, hailing from the Wausau area. Outside the center, she channels her competitive spirit into Jujitsu, proving that quiet strength is still strength. She loves staying active through workouts, yoga, and snowboarding. She also loves dogs and is always happy to spend time dog and house sitting—especially if there’s a furry friend involved.
